Acupuncture has been used to treat a wide variety of problems and issues for thousands of years throughout China and the East. It employs no drugs, harmful chemicals or toxic substances and works by stimulating the body's own responses, and healing/anaethesthetising mechanisms.
Growing and varied research evidence is available from a number of sources. Although I have only non-practising status with the British Acupuncture Council I do recommend a visit to their website to read about the range of conditions that can benefit from Acupuncture. See (CLICK HERE). This website has extensive research details of the application of Acupuncture to many disorders/issues. There are fact sheets on these disorders and I suggest that you consult those fact sheets that are especially relevant to you. They include, but are not limited to:
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Female and Male infertility
Insomnia and sleep disorders
Joint/articular issues such as Frozen Shoulder/Tennis Elbow/etc
Migraines and Nausea/vomiting
Sciatica and lower back pain
PMT, Menstrual issues, Dysmenorrhoea, Endometriosis
Personally I have found it effective as a treatment for Sciatica/lower back pain, and after treating scores of people with this condition have considerable experience in this area.
